A local restaurant is offering a unique chance for customers to enjoy their favorite burger with a locally brewed beer every Tuesday.
Southern Ale House will match the burger of your choice with a locally brewed beer that highlights its flavors. The restaurant began this tradition in 2014.
“We decide on Tuesday what specialty burgers we’re going to make,” said General Manager Bradley Morris. He said the restaurant usually makes three different crafted burgers each week.
Some of the available local beers include Black Warrior Brewing, Druid City, and Band of Brothers.
“All of our beers from the South are on draft,” Morris said. “We want beers that will accompany the flavors of the burger.”
Morris said the restaurant has offered burgers such as the 16-ounce “National Championship burger” after the University of Alabama’s football team won its 16th national championship title. They have also offered specialty items, like the goat cheese balsamic burger.
“It’s a good night for burgers, so you might as well have a beer with it — one of our good Southern craft beers,” Morris said.
Their beer and burger combo, along with a side item, can be had for around $17 to $18.
The event occurs every Tuesday, all day. Southern Ale House is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
